We are seeking a dedicated care home trainer / training manager for nursing homes / care homes to lead and evolve our in-house training programs across our homes in Hampshire.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and proactive care home trainer / training manager for nursing homes / care homes to support our permanent (non-agency) care teams. You’ll be responsible for creating, delivering, and maintaining high-quality, compliant training initiatives that directly enhance care standards and staff performance.
We believe training is more than compliance—it’s about empowering people to grow, deliver excellent care, and feel confident in their roles. As our care home trainer / training manager for nursing homes / care homes, you’ll have the full support of our managers and admin team to ensure training drives real, on-the-floor improvements.
Responsibilities Include:
* Developing and delivering a high-quality training and development strategy.
* Conducting mandatory training such as manual handling, dementia care, safeguarding, infection control, basic life support, and MCA/DOLS.
* Using blended learning methods including in-person, e-learning, and practical coaching.
* Ensuring legal and CQC training compliance across all homes.
* Creating personalised learning plans and collaborating with managers to tailor staff development.
* Monitoring and evaluating training outcomes.
* Managing training budgets and sourcing cost-effective training solutions and funding.
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through regular review and feedback.
* Representing the values and standards of excellence in elderly care through all training.
About You:
To thrive as a care home trainer / training manager for nursing homes / care homes, you will:
* Have at least 2 years’ experience in a training management role in the healthcare sector.
* Hold a recognised teaching or training qualification.
* (Desirable) Be a qualified nurse registered with the NMC.
* Be confident delivering training across various formats.
* Have experience in dementia and elderly care environments.
Requirements:
* Full-time role, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend sessions.
* Full, clean UK driving licence (essential for travel between homes).
