New Directions Education is looking for compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Medical Needs Teaching Assistants to support learners across a range of SEND settings in Leeds.
This is a deeply rewarding role where no two days are the same, and your support can change a child’s educational journey.
We’d love to hear from you if you have experience with:
• Supporting pupils with medical or complex health needs
• Assisting with personal care and following healthcare plans
• Using trauma‑informed and therapeutic approaches
• Understanding SEND such as ASC, SLCN, and SEMH
• Team‑Teach training (desirable, but not essential!)
Your role will include:
• 1:1 and small‑group support
• Supporting EHCP targets
• Sensory and creative learning activities
• Building trusted relationships with pupils, families, and staff
• Ensuring every learner’s safety, dignity, and wellbeing
All roles require satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check.
