Overview Join a new team responsible for taking the dental industry's market-leading SaaS product to the next level The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, critical thinker with excellent communication skills. This is a hybrid role working 1-2 days per week in our Glasgow office. Responsibilities & Duties Advocate for quality throughout the software development process. Lead/influence testing strategy, for both automated and manual and gain consensus on implementation strategy within the team. Design, implement and maintain the automated testing framework for SaaS products. Experience with technologies like Playwright/Cypress/Selenium would be beneficial. CI/CD testing strategy (integrating automation testing to pipelines) Performance testing strategy Mentor and train other team members on automation, quality practices and principles. Contribute to and lead code reviews, design reviews, effort estimates, task breakdowns, and other team discussions. Assess and raise risks across the Planet DDS solution. Play a part in the architecture and technology roadmap including research, prototyping, and rolling out new technologies/patterns. Work with the engineering team on continuously improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of Planet DDS products. Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to design and deploy new features. Learn about the latest tools and patterns consistent with your role. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 7 or more years of experience in a software engineering development, test, and/or QA role Significant experience in automation testing and building automation frameworks from the ground up. Experience in programming (ideally JavaScript/TypeScript and/or C#) Experience with Integrating automation tests into a CI/CD environment. Performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6 and Azure Load Test would be beneficial. Test case management techniques, technologies, and approaches. Tools Jira & Zephyr Scale would be beneficial. Knowledge of how to characterize different risk scenarios (Examples: functional/closed-box, boundary, verification and validation, acceptance, load, stress, performance, HA/DR).
