Commercial Kitchen Installer x 2 – Commercial Catering Equipment & Design – Greater Manchester Location – Stockport, Warrington, Oldham, Rochdale, Bolton, Bury, Manchester Paid hourly, up to £19.50 per hour (paid for travel time, door to door), travel expenses About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Kitchen Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and commissioning commercial kitchen equipment for restaurants, catering facilities, and hospitality businesses. As a Commercial Catering Equipment Kitchen Installer, you will be responsible for the safe delivery, installation, and commissioning of a range of commercial kitchen appliances including ovens, hobs, fryers, dishwashers, extraction systems, and bespoke stainless-steel fabrication. Key Responsibilities: * Install and commission commercial catering equipment to specification and safety standards. * Read and interpret kitchen layout drawings and installation manuals. * Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure smooth delivery and installation. * Carry out minor plumbing, gas, and electrical connections as required. * Conduct site surveys and report any discrepancies or issues. * Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety and Gas Safe regulations. * Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition. Qualifications and Skills * Proven experience as a commercial kitchen installer, catering equipment technician, or in a similar trade role (not domestic) * Plumbing, gas fitting, or electrical trade qualifications or experience are highly desirable. * Strong technical knowledge of commercial catering equipment and utility connections. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation instructions. * Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. * Physical fitness to handle lifting and installation of heavy equipment. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Hours may vary, so flexibility is required to suit the needs of the business * Valid driver’s license (and willingness to travel nationally). Desirable Certifications (Not Essential) * Gas Safe registration or equivalent (for gas-related installations). * Electrical safety or wiring certifications. * Health and safety certifications (e.g., CSCS card or equivalent).
