This role is based at one of our delivery locations, where experience, knowledge, and skills in warehouse and transport are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead your team to ensure branch trading is efficient, safe, legal, and customer-focused.
2. Manage delivery costs and customer charges to meet targets.
3. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and set challenging payroll cost reduction targets.
4. Understand the local market to provide excellent service and customer satisfaction.
5. Manage your team effectively to meet customer service requirements and use feedback for service improvement.
6. Collaborate with regional teams to identify opportunities and develop or improve workflows.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in deliveries and transport.
* Management CPC certification.
* Experience managing a warehouse operation.
* Strong customer engagement skills and relationship-building abilities.
* Ability to develop ideas and challenge the team to enhance service.
* Talent development and team motivation skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
* Effective planning and organization skills.
* A proactive, 'hands-on' approach is beneficial.
