The duties and responsibilities of the post holder require service delivery in a wide range of clinical environments as well as to a diversity of patient presentations. The role will involve lone working in specific areas, specialties, or at particular times.
Main duties of the job
The Radiology Department is currently undergoing multimillion-pound projects to redevelop the Interventional Radiology and MRI departments. A further multimillion-pound redevelopment of the A&E department, including A&E X-ray services and an A&E CT scanner, was completed in Autumn 2017. The department encourages continued professional development (CPD), with opportunities for further training and growth.
There are four CT scanners performing complex cardiac and vascular angiography, virtual colonography, and specialized hepatobiliary imaging, among other general examinations. The department also has a radiographer-led nerve root injection list. Additionally, there are four MRI scanners offering a wide range of examinations across specialties, including Hepato-biliary, Gastroenterology, and Renal Medicine.
The Interventional Radiology and Cardiology department comprises five dedicated interventional labs. It provides comprehensive interventional services for all specialties within the trust, including cardiac, renal, HPB, oncology, and vascular cases. An Artis Zeego multi-axis floor-mounted angiography unit is available within theatres for complex endovascular procedures.

* DCR (R) or BSc Diagnostic Radiography
* HCPC registration
