This is an exciting opportunity within TalkTalk for an entrepreneurial, commercial director to define, implement, and execute TalkTalk’s commercial growth strategy.
You will be accountable for supplier and partner relationships, core commercial functions, customer lifecycle management, forecasting, and planning.
Reporting to the Chief Financial and Commercial Officer for TalkTalk, the Commercial Director will own the commercial strategy, influence at the executive level, and build strong relationships both internally, up to the board, and externally with our partners.

The Team
Supply and Partnerships:
* Focus on growth and optimizing the overall commercial position, especially COGS, through competitive supply and ensuring TalkTalk customers access great value Full Fibre products.
* Negotiate commercial terms with Platform X and AltNet suppliers, including initial setup and ongoing evaluation.
* Identify value-creating opportunities, negotiate, and deploy them.
* Support ongoing legal and commercial agreements with legal teams.
Core Commercial:
* Translate TalkTalk’s 5YP into actionable objectives and report on performance.
* Plan for significant changes and risks, ensuring teams are aligned.
* Build and lead the Commercial Evaluation governance process.
* Drive cost transformation programs to improve costs across the board.
Customer Lifecycle Management:
* Establish a team focused on rapid, cost-effective customer value deals.
* Create cohort-based upsell and cross-sell strategies.
* Develop bundles and products to enhance loyalty and margins.
* Support decision-making to minimize churn and maximize value.
Forecasting & Planning:
* Provide detailed volume forecasts supporting budgets and reforecasts.
* Ensure volume commitments with third-party suppliers.
* Lead quarterly planning to meet volume targets across products and channels.
Success is:
* Developing a differentiated capability that enables reliable, affordable connectivity while improving gross margins and creating strategic advantages.
* Owning a flexible planning framework for rigorous and swift planning and replanning.
* Creating a clear, aligned plan for new acquisition, upsell, cross-sell, and retention, covering core products and VAS.
Leadership:
* Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports and team members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and analytical ability.
* Ability to build relationships at all levels and command respect in presentations.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proven ability to lead complex change initiatives and deliver results.
* Understanding of TalkTalk’s strategy and commercial environment.
