The Role:
As a CNC Setter/Operator, you'll play a key role in delivering high-precision components from concept to completion. You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines to meet strict engineering specifications and quality standards.
Key duties include:
Loading and verifying programmes from CAD/CAM systems
Setting datums, tooling, and tool offsets
Performing tool prove-outs and first-offs
Machining components to tight tolerances based on engineering drawings
Conducting quality checks using calibrated equipment
Accurately completing production documentation
Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
Supporting basic maintenance of machines
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Solid experience with CNC machine setting and operation
Confident using measurement and inspection tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and detail-oriented with a proactive attitude
Flexible with working double day shifts
Desirable:
Previous experience in a precision engineering or subcontract machining environment
Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems
Knowledge of quality control processes
Technologies You'll Work With:
CNC machinery (multi-axis preferred)
CAD/CAM software
Calibrated measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges)
