Due to the high volume of interest in this role, we may need to close this vacancy before the closing date As a member of the MDT with the Emergency Department the post holder will act on their own initiative to deliver patient care at with the supervision of a registered nurse available. They will demonstrate a level of skill and knowledge which enables them to undertake specific patient orientated tasks whilst working within all areas of the department in accordance with the Trusts procedures, guidelines and policies. The post holder is required to be competent in delivering minor injury and illness care to patients within the urgent treatment center and also be able to undertake a range of procedures and practices which they have been trained and assessed as competent. We are currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants who already hold a visa that allows them to work in the UK are welcome to apply. However, the Trust will not be able to offer sponsorship once that visa expires. For induction, training and operational reasons, applicants must also have at least 12 months remaining on their visa at the start of employment. Previous applicants need not apply. Working within all areas of the emergency department. The post holder is expected to be competent in minor injury procedures, such as wound care and plastering. Competent in performing venepuncture, cannulation and ECG's and will be responsible in accurately recording patient’s vital signs being able to interpret NEWS scores and escalate appropriately ensuring identification of an acutely unwell patient.
