Albany Beck are hiring an AI / full stack Engineer to support a modernisation of aspects of a new application and expanding it to support additional customer types, customer journeys and new functionality. Key Responsibilities Hands-on, writing and delivering code into production, while contributing to the overall architecture and design of a microservices-based system. Understand business needs alongside engineering and non-functional requirements to help support ongoing growth. Help drive and reinforce the engineering culture across teams. Work closely with a globally distributed team, coordinating work across regions when needed. Proactively identify and remove blockers, highlight risks early, and communicate issues to programme management. Spot inefficiencies in existing processes and find practical, scalable ways to improve them. Essential Skills & Experience Solid experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in designing, building, and deploying backend services. Experience working in a microservices environment and delivering production-ready code. Comfortable releasing changes to production frequently. Hands-on experience building and deploying RESTful APIs. Experience designing database schemas and working with PostgreSQL. Nice to Have Java experience, ideally with recent versions. Familiarity with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with GCP is a plus. Experience building UI applications using React. Previous experience working in financial services, particularly banking.
