Job Summary
Paediatric Liaison Nurse role at Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford. Responsible for managing care of Children and Young People presenting with mental health and emotional issues in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and support management of CYP with mental health issues presenting to ED.
* Improve patient experience, quality and efficiency of service in DGH.
* Ensure high quality, research based care for CYP and family/carer focused.
* Support paediatric nursing and medical team by arranging training opportunities to up‑skill professionals.
* Manage CYP with mental health, emotional health and social care needs, coordinating between medical and community teams.
Qualifications
Essential: Clinical qualification to degree level or membership of NMC professional body. 3 years post qualifying experience with CYP mental health needs in community crisis setting and experience of mental health assessments, risk and contingency planning.
Desirable: Working with agencies, multidisciplinary team, safeguarding procedures.

Contract and Working Pattern
Permanent, full‑time, permanent contract. Band 7 salary £50,008 to £56,908 a year, incl 5% fringe HCAS, pro rata.
