Hales Group is recruiting for a Toolmaker/Machinist on behalf of our client based in Norfolk.This part-time position has become available due to retirement and offers a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering team. You’ll be working with a variety of manual machines, contributing to high-quality production in a supportive and safety-conscious environment.Key Responsibilities:
* Operate manual machines including Milling Machines, Centre Lathes, Surface Grinders, and Cylindrical Grinders
* Support with electrical discharge machining (EDM) – training can be provided
* Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
* Use inspection equipment to ensure precision and quality
* Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, efficient workshop
* Work collaboratively with the team and maintain a professional approach
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in manual machining
* Good understanding of engineering drawings and inspection tools
* Knowledge of EDM is an advantage (training available)
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
* Team player with excellent communication skills
