We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Process Support Engineer to join our Process Engineering team. In this role, you will support production operations, drive continuous improvement, and progress key projects that enhance our manufacturing capability. Key Responsibilities
Production & Technical Support
* Provide day‑to‑day support to production areas, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.
* Support and enhance assembly and machining processes across the business.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
* Lead and contribute to engineering projects that improve products, processes and overall operational performance.
* Apply Lean and Agile methodologies to deliver cost‑effective improvements.
* Support the implementation of "Future Factory" solutions to secure long‑term manufacturing capability and capacity.
* Drive operational quality improvements across Assembly and wider operations.
Technology & Capital Investment
* Work alongside the Lead Engineer to deliver new technology initiatives.
* Support the full lifecycle of new equipment and processes from concept through to production handover.
* Contribute to capital investment projects, ensuring value, performance and technical robustness.
Collaboration & Communication
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and internal departments.
* Manage and influence relationships across all levels of the business.
Experience Required
* Technical engineering background within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
* Experience with Lean and Agile manufacturing techniques.
* Strong understanding of assembly and machining processes.
* Exposure to automation or robotics.
* Ability to lead change projects and deliver improvements.
* PLC or programming capability preferred.
* Experience in project management principles and tools.
Qualifications & Knowledge
* HND or BTEC Level 4 HNC in Manufacturing, Engineering or similar discipline.
* Completed mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (desirable).
* Knowledge of assembly automation and CNC machine tools/methods.
* Degree in Engineering or a related field (advantageous).
* IOSH or equivalent safety qualification.
Skills & Competencies
* Highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
* Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
* Skilled in analytical and structured problem‑solving techniques.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets using project management tools.
* Strong time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Experience managing suppliers and contractors.
* Ability to create business cases and develop detailed project plans.
* Experience with project budget control.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Role‑Specific Requirements
* Ability to influence, engage and listen to stakeholders at all organisational levels.
* Experience applying continuous improvement techniques.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, using both linear (waterfall) and iterative approaches.
