Mandik UK is seeking an experienced Operations Assistant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic, innovative company in the fire safety industry.
About Mandik UK
Since launching in the UK in 2021, Mandik UK has rapidly grown to a £7m turnover by Year 4. Specialising in Fire Safety Ventilation Products, the company is committed to setting new standards in the construction sector with high-quality, compliant products.
As the business continues to expand, we are looking for an Operations Assistant who can oversee and optimise day-to-day operations, ensuring the company runs efficiently across multiple functions.
What the Role Involves
As Operations Assistant, you will take ownership of operational processes and lead a small team to deliver seamless support across logistics, finance, HR, and general office management.
Key responsibilities include:
🔹 Operations & Logistics:
* Overseeing deliveries, suppliers, and logistics to ensure timely operations
* Maintaining and updating operational records, trackers, and databases
* Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions
🔹 Finance & Invoicing:
* Supervising customer and supplier invoices using Xero
* Tracking overdue payments and managing purchase orders
* Supporting budget monitoring and expense processes
🔹 HR & Team Management:
* Coordinating onboarding for new employees and managing internal documentation
* Leading and supporting a small operations/administration team
* Ensuring smooth communication across the business
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a proactive, organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading a team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
✅ Key Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in operations, administration, or office management
* Leadership experience, managing teams or coordinating multiple functions
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and ideally Xero
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✅ Bonus Points:
* Experience in finance-related processes or invoicing
* Familiarity with the construction or fire safety sectors
