The Company
Roberts & Prowse, based in Elgin Industrial Estate, Swindon, Wiltshire, are a leading Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Contractor operating throughout the Home Counties, South West, and South East of the UK. Due to sustained growth and continued success, we are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Operative (Building, Plumbing, Carpentry) to join our dynamic team within the MOD and building division at RAF Brize Norton.
The Role
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Operative, you will report directly to the Building Contracts Managers Your primary responsibility will be to carry out a wide range of maintenance, repairs, and general building works within commercial environments initially across Wiltshire, Oxfordshire & Gloucestershire.
Duties will include:
* General site maintenance, routine maintenance, cosmetic upkeep, refurbishments, preventative maintenance & Project works.
* Carrying out repairs, General Building roles - Basic carpentry experience including installing stud walls, doors & frames, architraves, skirtings, locks, kitchen units etc, patch plastering, Decorating, and ground works, basic Plumbing.
* Identifying and reporting any faults or maintenance issues
* Ensuring all work are completed to a high standard within Client KPI, cost and programme.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations

The Person:
To be considered for this role, you should be an experienced multiskilled craftsman with a proven track record in maintenance and repair work within commercial environments.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
* Proficiency in general building maintenance repairs & projects.
* Basic carpentry and joinery skills 1st and 2nd fix, finishing
* Basic plumbing experience
* Knowledge of painting, decorating
* Ability to work independently and effectively under minimal supervision
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Full UK Driving License
* CSCS Card Holder (advantageous)
* DBS Clearance (advantageous)
Your previous positions may include: Maintenance Engineer, Handyman, Facilities Maintenance Engineer, General Builder, Property Maintenance Technician, Site Maintenance Engineer, or Multiskilled Engineer.
