Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves hands-on gardening tasks, ensuring the health and aesthetics of various plant species while utilising both hand and power tools effectively.
Duties
* Maintain gardens and landscaped areas by planting, pruning, weeding, and watering plants.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various gardening tasks.
* Implement irrigation systems to ensure optimal water supply for plants.
* Monitor plant health and growth, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases.
* Assist in the design and layout of garden spaces, incorporating aesthetic principles.
* Perform routine maintenance on gardening equipment to ensure longevity and effectiveness.
* Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall landscape goals.
Requirements
* Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is essential.
* Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and techniques.
* Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely.
* Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards in garden appearance.
* Physical stamina to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions.
