Head of Digital Experience
Our client is a member organisation with an ambitious in‑house team, seeking a strategic, user‑focused Head of Digital Experience. This brand‑new role prioritises user experience across the digital ecosystem, while still driving conversion optimisation.
You will partner with internal designers, business stakeholders, and external developers to ensure digital journeys are intuitive, accessible, and delivering for members and wider audiences. Sitting at the heart of the Marketing function, this role drives member acquisition, engagement, retention, and commercial growth through insight‑led UX improvements, experimentation, and continuous optimisation.
You’ll bring a balance of hands‑on UX expertise and leadership, confidently translating research into actionable improvements while guiding teams to deliver consistent, user‑first experiences.

What you’ll be doing
🎨 User Experience (UX) – Primary Focus
* 🧠 Define and own UX strategy, ensuring frictionless, intuitive journeys across web and mobile.
* 👥 Lead user research including usability testing, interviews, personas, and journey mapping.
* ✏️ Collaborate with designers to shape wireframes, prototypes, and scalable design systems.
* 🖌️ Work closely with Brand and Content teams to optimise messaging and creative for clarity and engagement.
* ♿ Champion accessibility best practices (including WCAG compliance) across all digital platforms.
* 🔍 Analyse user behaviour and journeys to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
📈 Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) – Supporting Focus
* 🧪 Design and deliver a CRO roadmap across web and mobile.
* 🔬 Lead research, hypothesis creation, and A/B or multivariate testing.
* 🤝 Partner with Acquisition and Lifecycle teams to align optimisation with campaign and renewal goals.
* 🛠️ Collaborate with Product, Design, and IT to implement and measure experiments.
* 🧭 Continuously improve landing pages, onboarding flows, and conversion funnels using data‑driven insights.
🧭 Leadership & Strategy
* 👥 Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing UX & CRO team.
* 🎯 Align UX and optimisation initiatives with company OKRs and growth targets.
* 🔁 Embed a culture of user‑centric experimentation and continuous improvement.
* 🗣️ Clearly communicate research findings, test outcomes, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
💡 What you’ll bring
* 🧠 7+ years’ experience in UX
* 📈 Proven track record of improving digital experiences and conversion funnels with measurable results.
* 🧩 Strong understanding of UX principles, human psychology, and journey mapping.
* 🛠️ Hands‑on experience with GA, Hotjar, Figma, Optimizely, VWO, or similar tools.
* 🗣️ Excellent communication skills, able to influence stakeholders across teams.
* 🔍 Highly analytical, data‑first mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
* 🌱 Experience building, mentoring, or leading teams.
