About The Role
You’ll be central to improving the reliability, maturity and performance of our automated production cells. Working closely with the team, you’ll support the modernisation of PLC platforms, enhance equipment connectivity and contribute to our ambitions around process monitoring, CBM and Industry 4.0.
Your work will strengthen availability, reduce repeat issues, and help create a stable, future‑ready environment that supports our customers’ evolving needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Modernising PLC platforms and integrated control systems.
* Supporting the integration of automation and robotics into new and existing systems.
* Developing the team’s technical capability through practical knowledge sharing.
* Acting as a subject matter expert for automation equipment and processes.
* Progressing equipment connectivity and monitoring initiatives.
* Providing technical input for new equipment and process introductions.
* Supporting continuous improvement across automated production areas.
Who We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring practical engineering knowledge and a proactive mindset.
You’ll Need
* Experience in manufacturing (automotive, FMCG, engineering or similar).
* PLC programming skills, preferably Siemens.
* Robotics programming capability, ideally with Kuka.
* Confidence amending and writing PLC and robotic programs.
* A proactive, improvement‑focused approach.
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Experience with automation cells or semi‑automated equipment.
* Relevant engineering qualification or industry experience.
* Ability to travel to site.
