Job Title: Digital Print Finisher (Trainee) at The Delta Group
Department: Print & Finishing (Biggin Hill). Reporting to: Operations Director. Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday during training; this role will transfer to Nights, Monday - Thursday 19:45 - 06:15.

Role Overview
This is an exciting trainee role for an enthusiastic and hands-on individual to start a career in print and production finishing. You will be trained to accurately produce and finish high-quality work, ensuring every job meets client specifications.
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finishing within the department, learning to uphold company quality control practices, and ensuring a high standard of work. Full training will be provided on our range of machinery, including the Jet lam 2000 laminator, Pro62 laminator, Miller weld master, Fiab HF Welder, Fotoba 3.2 and 1.6, and the Kongsberg XP cutting machines.
Key Responsibilities
* Learning to maintain and process work according to the production schedule.
* Assisting in quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and uses the correct materials.
* Collecting and processing finished work.
* Learning to operate various machines for tasks such as laminating media, edge wrapping and mounting to substrates, welding substrates (e.g., using Kedar), and cutting materials.
* Developing skills in reading technical specifications (like CAD laydowns) and performing basic checks on the cutting machines.
* Supporting the QC process.
* Completing required paperwork and updates.
* Notifying a manager promptly when a major issue is encountered.
* Learning basic problem-solving to keep work flowing smoothly.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy work area and assisting with basic machine maintenance as trained.
