About The Role:
Joining as a Audit Manager, you will be providing audit, advisory and compliance services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries.
About The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in Audit and will be responsible for providing expert advice to our diverse portfolio of clients and have the opportunity to strengthen this department.You will have exposure to other services offered by the firm and long term progression throughout the hierarchy.
Helping to build the audit client base and develop the audit department
Leading audit and assurance assignments
Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under FRS102 and FRS105
Preparing quotes and presenting to potential clients
Implementing efficiencies in audit processes
Providing accounts technical advice to clients and the team
Keeping the audit system under review to ensure methodology is up to date
Implementing changes required under audit reform
Undertaking compliance reviews and assisting with ICAEW returns
Developing team members to ensure the team receive appropriate training
Support with the implementation of an off the shelf audit package
About the Applicant:
They require someone who has:
4 years post-qualification experience
Accounts and Corporation Tax compliance experience
Small to medium size firm background
Initiative and can take responsibility for their own work
Ambitious to further develop the department with processes, structure and targets
Enjoys and sees the benefit of developing others
Capable of building strong relationships internally and externally
Adaptable and keeps on top of new technology advancing the industry
Innovative and willing to challenge the status quo
ACA qualified with experience working in practice on a wide range of audits, long term ambition to achieve RI status with the ICAEW
Possesses strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
Have excellent technical skills and a keen eye for detail. You will have extensive experience of UK GAAP, in particular FRS 102 and the charity SORP
The ability to explain and debate accounting issues clearly to be able to deal with difficult issues and potential conflict over audit opinions.
Good communication skills, comfortable presenting to potential clients, clients and colleagues
Experience auditing clients around the lower end of the audit limits (circa £20m turnover)
Someone that wants the challenge of working autonomously and building out an audit department for an ambitious growing firm
