We invite you to join our dynamic Planning team in our Edinburgh office, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for diverse clients. Notes on eligibility: Please be aware that due to changes in Government Legislation we are unable to fulfil the remuneration requirements for Graduate level, therefore unable to accept applications from individuals who hold a student or Graduate Visa. We continue to support colleagues at later stages in their career, requiring work sponsored Visas.
Responsibilities
As a Graduate Town Planner, you will work closely with the Planning team in the delivery of wide-ranging planning consultancy services on a variety of projects and schemes. You will have the opportunity to prepare, submit and negotiate planning applications and statements, support with public consultations and site visits, and provide professional advice to clients, local planning authorities and other statutory bodies. You will gain valuable experience across a range of sectors and clients to support your development.
You will also be involved in:
* Preparing, submitting and negotiating planning applications and statements
* Supporting with public consultations and site visits
* Providing professional advice to clients and authorities
Qualifications and qualities
We are looking for candidates who:
* Hold an RTPI-accredited degree or a similar relevant degree in Geography, Town Planning/Urban Planning or Built Environment
* Demonstrate a logical and analytical approach
* Have great problem-solving and communication skills
* Can use initiative and think creatively
Work experience in Town/Urban Planning is advantageous but not essential as you will learn on the job through the Graduate Training Scheme.
