AECOM Junior CDM Principal Designer Role
AECOM is offering an exciting opportunity for a Junior CDM Principal Designer to join our award-winning Environment & Energy SH&E Team. This role can be based at any of our primary UK offices, with a preference for Manchester and Birmingham.
The Junior CDM Principal Designer will support positive engagement, provide guidance, disseminate CDM knowledge, and promote best practices to reinforce our commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing across projects.
The position involves collaborating with teams and clients to deliver Principal Designer services within our Energy sector, across various projects.
You will report to the Environment & Energy Principal Designer Lead for the UK&I region and contribute to developing Principal Designer resources, fostering professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with design teams to plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate the pre-construction phase of projects.
2. Ensure the application of prevention principles during pre-construction.
3. Ensure compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
4. Coordinate with all duty holders during pre-construction to promote cooperation.
5. Assist clients with pre-construction information provision.
6. Liaise with principal contractors and share relevant information for the construction phase, including preparing a Health and Safety File at project handover.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in delivering the Principal Designer role or health and safety services, ensuring effective delivery under CDM.
* Strong commitment to quality, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and manage multiple projects.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
