HGV Technician Vacancy - Commecial Dealership Newark
1. Position: HGV Technician
2. Location: Newark
3. Basic Salary: £19 - 19.50 an hour (depending on experience)
4. Working Hours: Monday to Frday, 40 hours
5. Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
6. Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
7. Alternate Saturdays, 6:00am - 12:00pm (paid at overtime rate)
My client is now looking to take on a committed HGV Technician for their Workshop in Newark. They are a large-scale independent distributor of Heavy Commercial Vehicles. A great company to work for, with a long list of benefits.

We’re recruiting for someone who can confidently maintain, service, and repair a wide range of Heavy Vehicles and Trailers to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
8. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work meets VOSA standards.
9. Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
10. Work closely with the parts department to source and collect the correct components
11. Accurately record time, complete job cards, and service documentation
12. Maintain a clean and organised working area at all times
13. Keep up to date with product knowledge and attend training courses as required
Requirements:
14. Recognised Heavy Vehicle qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
15. Valid UK Driving Licence
16. IRTEC licence (highly desirable)
17. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
18. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
19. Good communication and customer service skills
20. Awareness and understanding of health & safety in a Workshop environment
