The Role Main Purpose of Job Responsible for all operational functions within the department whilst ensuring the relevant KPI’s for the business are achieved. To promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and hygiene. To ensure the warehouse flow is maintained from production through to pallets leaving the site whether that be to external warehouses or customers ____________________________________________________________ 4. Main Duties Ensure health, safety and hygiene policies are implemented and followed throughout the department at all times. This includes daily/weekly safety checks and implementing new initiatives. Complete department specific SSOW, SOP, risk assessment, hazard reporting and accident reporting procedures are followed at all times. Ensuring a ‘Quality’ culture is embedded throughout the department in all aspects of the role. This involves working closely with the quality department. Daily/weekly audits to be carried out in-line with this. Ensuring all team members are held accountable to their responsibilities via day-to-day communication, appraisals and formal reviews. Ensuring all team members are kept motivated whilst teaching them new skills and techniques thus providing them opportunities to develop within their role. Ensuring Main Site warehouse remains at a safe and manageable pallet level without affecting production throughput. Ensuring the pallet flow between Main Site and Moor Park is maintained at all times ensuring all deliveries are available for transport on time and in full. Ensuring the LPD, Strappers and Wrappers are kept clean, tidy and utilised correctly. Working with the engineering department to fault find and ensure all are maintained to a reliable and safe standard. Liaising with the Transport department to determine efficient loading plans with scope for amendment and change. Ensuring the ‘Quarantine’ area is organised, labelled and safe to access at all time. Ensuring the stock system (COBIS) is kept accurate and up to date at all times. Quarterly stocktakes carried out in-line with this. Ensuring the marshalling of pallets is carried out in a safe, efficient and logical manner. Safe stacking of pallets is paramount. Ensuring trailers are loaded in a safe, timely and efficient manner alongside ensuring quality and pre-determined load checks are completed. Ensuring accurate daily reports are distributed to relevant Managers and departments. Ensuring department paperwork is legible and accurate at all times. This includes delivery paperwork and auditing paperwork. Ensuring internal systems are kept up to date and maintained at all times (TMS).
