We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator for Commercial and Industrial HVAC/R & Plumbing projects.
The Project Development Coordinator will be responsible for preparing comprehensive mechanical service estimates for assigned projects, either independently or in collaboration with team members.
Essential job functions include:
1. Reviewing and incorporating historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity reports, etc., into unit and man-hour estimates.
2. Reviewing proposal specifications, drawings, and attending pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and estimate requirements.
3. Preparing estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of the scope of work.
4. Coordinating the overall estimating effort for specific bids or projects.
5. Following up on awarded contracts, including estimating/pricing extra work, change orders, credits, and procuring materials.
Qualifications:
* Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
* Working knowledge of CAD; Revit experience is a plus but not required.
* At least 2 years of estimating, cost control, or engineering experience in similar facility construction.
* Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems.
* Thorough knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems; Mast License is a plus.
* Familiarity with basic computer programs; estimating software knowledge is desirable.
* Willingness to undergo ongoing training in advanced estimating disciplines.
