Speech and Language Therapist
We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our transdisciplinary team at Robert Ogden School. You will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, neuroaffirming, evidence‑informed Speech and Language Therapy service for autistic children and young people.
Responsibilities
* Deliver speech and language therapy assessment, intervention, advice, and review for pupils with a range of communication needs and neurodevelopmental profiles.
* Contribute to a high‑quality, neuroaffirming, strengths‑based, and evidence‑informed therapy service for autistic children and young people.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, families, and other professionals to embed communication strategies within everyday routines, learning, and the wider school day.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered and a member of the RCSLT.
* Experience (or a strong interest) in working with autistic children and young people.
* Committed to neuroaffirming, strengths‑based, and evidence‑informed practice.
* Enjoys collaborative, transdisciplinary working.
* Strong communication, organisational and reflective practice skills.
* Motivated, compassionate and committed to improving outcomes for pupils and families.
Whether you are developing your specialist autism experience or bringing established expertise, you will be supported through supervision, CPD, and a strong team culture.
Contract & Salary
Salary: £29,970 – £44,962. Contract: 1‑year fixed‑term, 35 hours per week, with 12 weeks paid holiday to be taken within the existing school holidays.
The role requires completion of safeguarding checks, additional references and criminal background checks.
