What you'll be doing?
Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.
While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don't: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You'll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.
This role will be responsible for the day-today support and maintenance of the core Barratt Redrow IT systems and applications, the deployment and connectivity of IT services to all sales and construction sites and the management and support of mobile/tablet devices.
You will have the opportunity to work across multiple technology stacks, including IBM, MS Cloud and Power App and SaaS platforms as well as working closely with wider Group IT and business teams, providing exposure to various business processes across the organisation.
You will be expected to:
* Working within an ITIL framework, providing support for both Incidents and Service Requests to the Barratt Redrow users
* Performing 2nd line technical support across various technologies including:
* IBM iSeries
* SQL Database
* Microsoft Power Applications, MS Azure, M365, AAD, D365, Intune, Azure Service Bus.
* Construction & Finance SaaS ERPs
* Providing networking and connectivity support for Barratt Redrow satellite sites
* Managing and administering Barratt Redrow's mobile device estate
* Collaborating with 3rd party suppliers to coordinate the swift resolution of Incidents, in line with SLAs
* Developing and maintaining documentation, including knowledge articles, standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides
* Perform monitoring and preventative maintenance to proactively identify service impacting issues and minimising service disruption
* Liaising with wider Group IT teams to progress and aid resolution of issues
* Providing on-call support as per the agreed rota
* Attending divisional site visits helping to run IT Tech Bars as per the agreed rota
What you'll need?
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
* Strong customer service and relationship management skills
* Strong analytical, organization, multitasking and prioritization skills
* Strong verbal & written communications skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Experience in the analysis and resolution of highly complex technical incidents
* Previous experience working within an IT support environment with good technical aptitude & troubleshooting skills
* Previous experience providing support with the following technologies is required:
* Network connectivity
* Telephony software
* Mobile Device Management
* IBM, SQL, Microsoft applications and ESB technologies (ASB & Jitterbit)
* ITIL V4 Foundation Certificate preferable, or strong demonstratable understanding from experience
