Job Description
The Successful Accounts Payable Clerk will likely have the following responsibilties:
3. Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
4. Maintain and update records of supplier accounts and payments.
5. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
6. Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
7. Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
8. Communicate effectively with suppliers to address payment queries.
9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
10. Support the Accounting & Finance team with additional tasks as required.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
11. Previous experience within an accounting or finance role, particularly in accounts payable.
12. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
13. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
14. Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
15. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
