At Cabrini, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care — both in hospital and beyond. Our Cabrini at Home and Outpatient Services teams deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of settings, including home-based care, outpatient clinics, and wellness programs.
We are seeking a motivated and professional Administration Assistant to join our friendly teams on a casual basis, supporting both our At Home and Outpatient teams at Elsternwick and Malvern.
About the role
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and families. You’ll provide administrative and clerical support to staff, clinicians, and patients — ensuring smooth coordination, clear communication, and a positive patient experience across services.
Key responsibilities
6. Providing reception, clerical, and administrative support across Cabrini at Home and Outpatient Services
7. Coordinating appointments and maintaining accurate records in hospital systems (e.g., WebPAS)
8. Managing patient registration, admissions, billing, and financial consents
9. Processing payments and managing claims via HiCAPS and Medicare
10. Supporting Allied Health and Nursing teams with scheduling and documentation
11. Coordinating equipment allocation and reconciliation where required
12. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy and data protection standards
About you
You are an organised, approachable, and enthusiastic professional who thrives in a busy healthcare environment. With a strong customer service focus, you take pride in delivering administrative excellence and supporting patients and staff alike.
You will have:
13. Certificate III or equivalent experience in administration
14. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital information systems
16. Excellent time management and attention to detail
17. Experience working in healthcare and knowledge of medical terminology (highly desirable)
18. A flexible and collaborative approach to work
