Job Title: Data Analyst
Reporting to: Business Manager

The Opportunity:
Cobalt is delighted to be partnering a leading investment management firm based in the heart of London. With a focus on real estate investments, they pride themselves on delivering superior results for clients through innovative strategies and rigorous analysis. We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join their dynamic team.
Role Responsibilities:
• You will assume overall responsibility for controlling and monitoring data delivery processes related to UK property and financial data.
• Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to ensure data is delivered and validated on time at quality.
• Develop strong collaborative relationships with external service providers (e.g. Property Managers and Fund Administrators) to drive continuous improvement of data quality over time (updating templates, attributes, mappings, etc.)
• Partner with internal UK users to develop a deep understanding of data needs and requirements across Fund Management and Asset Management service lines.
• Work in a consultative manner with technical specialists from external service providers to monitor data delivery flow and solve data quality issues as they arise.
• Analyse and prepare data sets for upload / validation.
• Work with internal data specialists across the business to create/manage data validation tasks, ensuring successful delivery.
• Lead testing of system functionality and deliver training to key internal/external stakeholders as required.
• Capture evolving requirements for data across the business (property data, financial data, ESG data, research data, etc).
Role Requirements:
• Strong working knowledge of Real Estate and Investment Management – ability to interact and collaborate with different stakeholders across departments.
• Basics of Data Science e. g. experience in data modelling is a plus
• Project Management experience- agile or waterfall is a plus
• Experience managing relationships with external service providers.
• Familiar with requirements gathering for user data needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including an ability to work independently when faced with challenges.
• Experience mining/analysing large datasets and maintaining large databases.
• Comfort delivering reports, presentations and training to internal/external stakeholders (face-to-face, virtual, one-on-one, small/large groups, formal/informal).
• Experience implementing process improvements across applications/programs.
• Proficiency with the MS Office with strong expertise in Excel.
• Familiarity with MRI, Yardi or other Property Management software.
• Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, Jira/Confluence is a plus.
