The Trusts & Estates Disputes team has seen recent growth due to business demand, with a Spears ranked head of department leading a team of highly-regarded solicitors working across a broad mix of domestic and international contentious trusts and estates matters. Acting for an esteemed clientele of HNW/UHNW individuals and families, wealth managers, global investors, family businesses, beneficiaries, protectors and other fiduciaries.
The Role:
This is an opportunity for a Trusts Disputes Associate 1 - 5 PQE, to join forward-thinking and rapidly expanding team with excellent mentorship and support.
You will work closely with a specialist team across the spectrum of Contentious Trusts & Estates matters, advising on international wealth structures, offshore trusts, significant estates, cross-border assets and sensitive family issues. Alongside regularly assisting in mediations and cross-border negotiations, helping clients find constructive outcomes that preserve both relationships and reputations.
Whilst you will be primarily focusing on litigating complex disputes, you will equally be focused on preventing them. Identifying risk and defusing conflict before it escalates, and where litigation is unavoidable, deploying decisive and proportionate strategies all with the support from other senior lawyers within this specialist team.
As you develop, you'll take on greater responsibility in managing client relationships, supporting business Trusts & Estates given it is a fast-paced, high-profile area of practice.

Requirements
Qualified solicitor with 1 – 5 years' PQE (England & Wales), with previous experience in Trusts.
Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload, delegate effectively and stay resilient under pressure.
A positive, pragmatic approach with good judgment and confident decision-making.
