NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER: RESIDENTIAL FAMILY ASSESSMENT CENTRE
£12.80 per hour, working 22:30 - 08:30 on a rota basis (minimum 3 nights per week), permanent contract

You would be joining our Residential Family Centre which offers thorough, evidence based parenting assessments within a nurturing environment for parents with behaviour or lifestyle concerns which may present a risk to babies or children in their care. This includes:
· Working with parents who have misused drugs and alcohol
· Parents or families with a history of domestic abuse
· Young and inexperienced parents and young care leavers who may be first time parents
· Parents with a learning disability or difficulty
· Parents with mental health needs
· Parents with relationship difficulties
Rated highly in our last four Ofsted inspections, our assessment process is a supportive yet rigorous one. We aim to identify and build on existing strengths and support the acquisition of new skills which, as a Night Support Worker, you would also contribute to.
Our Parenting Assessments are individually tailored according to the needs of the family, with a focus upon 'the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families' and the parents' ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of their child. The wellbeing of the children is our primary focus, ensuring that the baby or child's needs are met at all times and as a Night Support Worker, you would be responsible for ensuring that the baby or child's welfare is promoted and safeguarded overnight.
Main Duties of the Night Support Worker:
· Maintaining relevant observations of families overnight;
· Keeping clear and accurate recordings;
· Identifying and responding to any safeguarding concerns, recording and passing on;
· Being a positive role model;
· Advising and supporting parents as necessary;
· Administrative duties including some computer based tasks;
· Ensuring communal areas are clean and tidy.
A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
