Job Description:
The Facilities Management Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of FM services in Milton Keynes. Key responsibilities include:
1. Responding to and addressing all commercial issues.
2. Ensuring alignment with commercial principles agreed during negotiations.
3. Identifying gaps in collective commercial understanding.
4. Cascading commercial alignment throughout FM organizations.
5. Managing FM suppliers in line with contractual agreements (MSA).
6. Validating additional costs outside the semi-competitive agreement, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
7. Managing and validating the Change Control process with contractual or commercial impacts.
8. Handling budget management and reporting for costs outside the fixed price.
9. Managing contractual levers and escalating issues to the FM Director as needed.
10. Reviewing and approving all invoice management as part of the Managing Agent responsibilities.
Qualifications:
* Proven track record managing commercial elements across national FM portfolios with contract values around £30 million.
* Exceptional commercial acumen with experience in contract management, cost control, and governance.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing core FM services, preferably in complex, high-risk environments.
* Sector experience in banking or financial services is highly desirable, but not essential.
* Strong operational FM background with understanding of pricing, benchmarking, and key cost metrics.
Additional Information:
This role requires willingness to travel nationally and to be centrally based in Milton Keynes as needed.
