The Opportunity
As Department Manager, you will take ownership of a major operational area within the branch, responsible for leading large teams, driving performance and ensuring exceptional service standards across a high-volume trading environment.
You’ll play a key role in overall branch success, influencing operational performance, customer experience, productivity and team engagement within one of the busiest merchant operations in the region.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
• Leading and developing large operational and customer-facing teams
• Driving departmental sales, service standards and operational performance
• Creating a highly engaged, accountable and performance-driven culture
• Managing productivity, standards and customer experience across a fast-paced operation
• Coaching and developing managers and future talent within the business
• Owning departmental KPIs, commercial performance and operational standards
• Supporting the wider leadership team in delivering branch growth and operational excellence
• Maintaining a safe, compliant and highly effective trading environment
What We’re Looking For
• Experience within builders merchants, trade retail, wholesale or other high-volume operational environments
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing sizeable teams
• A hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, operational businesses
• Commercially aware with the ability to drive performance through people
• Confident managing standards, accountability and operational pressure
• Someone who leads with pace, energy and visibility
