SRG are working with a leading privately owned large waste management company who are now looking for 2 Site Chemists to join the team. This is a hands-on role within the waste industry, you will be analysing, checking and testing incoming loads, processing hazardous and non-hazardous waste, insuring segregation and storage of hazardous waste meets requirements, labelling waste and completing documents on all incoming and outgoing chemical materials.This role would suit experienced waste chemists with 2+ years of experience.
Working Hours: 40 hour week – Monday to Friday, flexible start and finish times, 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Role / Description
* Asses, segregate and batch up waste
* Provide laboratory and analytical support for all site operations
* Analysing and test all incoming waste and outgoing waste streams
* Ensure all waste is correctly labelled and documented
* Contribute to site health and safety standards by using the correct PPE at all times
* Work closely with site operatives to ensure the safe and efficient processing, storage, and transfer of waste
* Co-operate with site management in improving the plants operational standards
Requirements
* Minimum HNC in Chemistry
* Willing to work outside in all weathers
* Good work ethic, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn
* Full right to work in the UK – There is no sponsorship available for this role
