Planning Consultant (Part-Time) Tunbridge Wells | 20 hours per week | £25–£30 per hour
A well-established family-run architectural practice in Tunbridge Wells is looking to recruit an experienced Planning Consultant to support their growing project pipeline. This is a flexible part-time role (around 20 hours per week) offering excellent autonomy and the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects, many within the heritage and traditional architecture sector.
The Role You will take responsibility for managing the planning process on architectural projects, working closely with architects and clients to secure successful planning outcomes.
Preparing and submitting planning applications
Advising on planning policy and regulations
Liaising with local authorities and planning officers
Supporting the team with heritage and planning considerations
Providing strategic planning advice on new projects
Managing projects through the planning approval process
Projects are typically heritage or heritage-inspired architecture
Friendly culture with team lunches, social events and trips
MUST have previous experience working in planning consultancy or planning within architecture
Strong understanding of UK planning policy and planning law
Experience submitting and managing planning applications
Background in heritage or traditional architecture projects would be advantageous
Flexible options such as:
~3 full days per week
~ Office-based in Tunbridge Wells (some flexibility may be considered)
25–£30 per hour

~25 days holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays

~ The office is located in Tunbridge Wells, with parking available nearby (approximately a 10-minute walk).
