Job overview

An opportunity has arisen within the Treatment Room Service in Liverpool for a 12 month fixed term, part time (22.5 hours ) Band 6 Caseload Holder, to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be supported into this role in managing a caseload of complex patients in a designated clinic area but also working across various clinic sites within the service as required.


Main duties of the job

The candidates will be expected to have existing clinical competencies and knowledge base of Tissue Viability, Leg Ulcer Management and Pressure Ulcer management, as there is a requirement to be able to carry out senior reviews on highly complex patients. A V150 or V300 prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential for this role.

The primary function of the role is to provide high quality care to a defined caseload of patients and undertake holistic assessments.

Responsibility for workload planning and delegation of work to other team members, taking into account competence levels. To clinically lead, direct mentor and support the team. To support the Team Leader's and operational manager's in the development of the service and effective caseload management to meet the needs of the population

For the Treatment Room Service there is a requirement to move and travel between clinic sites within Mersey care NHS Foundation Trust. The service currently operates 7 days a week, with some late clinics until 8pm and bank holidays. There is a requirement within this post to be able to travel.

* Demonstrable post registration/qualification experience.
