Overview
Administrator – Medical Centre. Fixed Term Contract, Full Time. 37.5 hours per week. Location: HMS Raleigh, Trevol Road, Torpoint, Cornwall, England, PL11 2PD. This one-year contract provides maternity leave cover and is based at the Medical Centre, HMS Raleigh. The role supports administration for the Armed Forces medical services and may rotate through areas of professional responsibility as needed. Training will be provided where appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Act as the day-to-day focal point for medical services administration, including direct customer interaction and liaison with clinical staff.
* Arrange and coordinate appointments for the Medical Centre, hospital referrals, and review boards.
* Maintain and protect patient-related data, input data, and update the medical administration system.
* Ensure all activities comply with current Health and Safety Regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
* Provide support and cover for other staff as required by the Line Manager.
What We Are Looking For
* Well-organised, precise, confident with strong communication skills; professional, versatile, with good judgement and integrity.
* Ability to adapt to changing business needs, remain calm under pressure, and be self-motivated.
* Solid administration experience, strong organisational and motivational skills, and a proven track record of delivering quality administrative support and excellent customer service.
* Persuasive and credible communicator, both verbally and in writing; capable of forming strong working relationships.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with MOD medical administration systems is desirable but not essential.
* Good time-management skills and a proactive approach to work; a good standard of education is expected.
