Job Summary
We are looking for a full time/ part time permanent carers/ bank carers to join our team supporting adults to remain in their own homes across the Black Isle. The role involves driving to service users homes (mileage is paid at 45p per mile between calls) and assisting them with personal care and meal preparation. The hours are flexible between 7am - 10pm and weekend working is essential on 2 out of 4 weekends for permanent carers.
Duties
- Assisting with washing/ dressing/ undressing as required
- Support residents in maintaining personal hygiene and grooming routines
- Assist with meal preparation and some support with eating and drinking depending on individual need
- Engage in effective communication with residents, families, and colleagues
- Carry out light housekeeping duties to uphold cleanliness standards
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes (microsoft and carer app)
Qualifications
- Ability to drive and owning a car is essential for this role
- Proficiency in English language for effective communication
- Experience in care is advantageous but not essential as full training is provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills to navigate electronic systems
- A compassionate nature and a genuine interest in providing home care
