ALS Laboratories are looking for a Utility Business Manager to support their Utilities department at ALS.
The successful candidate be responsible for the sales and profitable growth direction of the regulated and commercial Water Utility Business segments and achieve the budgeted financial performance and profitable growth of the Water Utility Business segment.
This role requires someone with a strong customer focus, and the ability to manage change in a dynamic working environment with an enthusiastic and friendly disposition.
The role is hybrid working, but will require candidates to travel to our Hawarden, Coventry, and Wakefield sites on a regular basis therefore a driving license is required.

Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Hours: 37 Hours
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure Water Utility Sales are operating according to the Strategic and Business Plan.
* Ensure EBIT targets are met. Define and agree the ALS business strategy and business plan with the Regional General Manager, Sales & Client Services Manager and Executive management team.
* Revenue and EBIT revenue planning, forecasting and budgeting with continuous improvement in all units. Present and deliver plans to drive deviating units back on target.
* Full responsibility for Contract Tender process with existing or potential new clients.
* Promoting the business through client contact and formal presentations, including, client visits, presentations, preparation of quotations and tenders as required.
* Consolidation of Water Utility Business monthly report
* Build a personal relationship with contracted Water Utility companies and operational managers

About You
* Significant experience in Client services or business development in a technical or service-related industry.
* University degree in science, engineering, and/or business preferred.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Responsive to organisational and team needs.
* Committed to organisational goals and objectives.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* An understanding of financial reporting and the language employed (e.g. P&L, NPV, ROS, ROI, and EBIT).
* Computer literate with good grasp of Microsoft Office & Outlook packages
* Availability to travel within and between business units as required.
