You will be joining a high-profile and established Tier 1 contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex and high-value projects within the water industry. Due to continued success and significant growth, they are now seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team.
United Utilities (UU) has been awarded a single 5-year framework agreement to provide overall management and execution of the larger-scale on-site asset maintenance activities across the Northwest region, including the provision and management of supplementary engineering services to manage and deliver diverse works, including the provision of a first-generation helpdesk. UU aims to optimize the operation of their water, wastewater, and energy production for effective and efficient management of their end-to-end system. This Tier 1 contractor requires Site Agents with experience in water and/or infrastructure project delivery to support the delivery of projects within the Core and non-Core planned projects. The role will report to the Project Manager. Individual project values will typically range between £500k - £3M.
Your New Role:
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the delivery of a single larger site or multiple smaller-scale projects. The Site Agent will develop key relationships with UU operational contacts. Responsibilities will also include:
* Providing whole-life oversight and accountability for the successful completion of Maintenance Projects and Services.
* Ensuring the supply chain remains compliant with both the Framework Management Plan, Framework HASEMP, and all site-specific agreed documents.
* Implementation and ensuring compliance with safe systems.
* Acting as the Principal Contractor, responsible for coordinating and maintaining Subcontractor packages.
* Coordination for planning.
* Programming works.
* Liaising with the Client.
* Managing commercial costs.
* Operating in a highly restricted and regulated environment.
What you’ll need to succeed:
* Water/Wastewater experience is essential.
* Tier 1 or principal contractor experience is essential.
* SMSTS, EUSR, and First Aid certifications are required.
* Previous positions at a Site Agent level are essential.
* Previous large-scale industrial civil experience is desirable.
* UK-based experience.
