Job overview

We now have the need for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our dynamic friendly Neuroradiology team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work as a Radiology Assistant in Neuroradiology department in the West Wing. This is a role that contributes to the smooth running of the Radiology Department and the candidate will work closely with all staff, in particular Nurses, Radiographers and Radiologists to provide a high standard of patient care.

You will be required to work as a Radiology assistant in the front line of patient care, assisting with various examinations in different imaging modalities including CT and MRI. You will be involved in coordinating patient transfer to and from Radiology, liaising with other departments and wards. You will be required to do some clerical duties using both Electronic Patient Record and the Radiology Information System.

The post is working a mixture of day and evening shifts and weekend working is required. The candidate will be required to work occasional weekends and bank holidays, on a rota system.

Training

* Cannulation competence


Education/Qualifications

* Good General Secondary School education to include English and mathematics
* NVQ Level 3 in Care or Diagnostic Imaging Support or working towards the same


Experience

* Experience of working in a team Demonstrated interest in working with caring for patients
* Recent and relevant experience in the healthcare environment
