Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We’re looking for an Area Manager to join our team covering Northern Ireland. As an Area Manager you will take ownership of identifying opportunities to drive growth within the North region, ensure successful project execution and include direct line management of 8 ENS team members across the region in both Blue-Collar and White-Collar roles.
You will be responsible for:
1. Deliver a reactive maintenance service in the North region to meet the markets needs
2. Develop and increase Prysmian’s presence in the region by building strong relationships with local customers and engineers
3. Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives to achieve Key Performance Indicators.
4. Lead, manage and direct a team of engineers and operatives in line with the requirements of the wider business objectives. This will include:
5. Performance monitoring and appraisals
6. Identification of training needs and assisting with training and development planning
7. General administration duties such as ensuring time sheets and expense claims are completed accurately and in a timely fashion
8. Communication in the form of weekly planning allocation; team briefs; SHEQ briefs and Company briefs and bulletins
You are the right fit if you have/are:
9. Ideally hold a degree in an Engineering/Technical discipline, however not essential.
10. Proven experience and leadership within a similar position, preferable experience in the High Voltage cable industry, however not essential.
11. Experience of planning resources
12. Demonstrated expertise in people management, as well as training and development.
13. Hold great organizational, planning and prioritization skills
14. Excellent problem-solving skills.
15. Good interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation capability.
16. Highly self-motivated, with a keen, hands-on approach.
