About yourwork
You will be responsible forthe underwriting of BuytoLetloans from the enquiry stage through tocompletion. You will be required to demonstrate a goodunderstanding and experience of assessing all aspects of creditrisk on borrower applications including valuations credit reportsand legals whilst taking a balanced view on the risk return for thebusiness.
Responsibilities of therole
* Manage theunderwriting process from enquiry through to completion ensuring anefficient and accurate assessment of credit risk borrowerapplications valuations and legalaspects.
* Demonstrate an excellent knowledge ofLendinvest Lending and the Financial CrimePolicies
* Deal with initial broker/BDM leadsaccording to the defined SLA
* Deal with initialcase assessments according to the definedSLA
* Full case approval/underwriting accordingto SLA including lending rationale that ensures lending decision isclear without recourse to the underwriter
* Dealwith other ad hoc tasks to ensure swift processing ofcases
* Liaise with borrowers/brokers throughoutthe process to ensure understanding and promptresponses
* Partner closely with solicitors andvaluers in support of the Case Manager
* Ensure ahigh standard of service/communication when liaising with borrowersor brokers by telephone email andletter
* Supporting and developing Case Managerskills and knowledge
* Other adhoc duties andprojects

* Strongattention to detail with excellent numeracy and ability to identifyrisks at an early stage
* Capable and experiencedin dealing with a highvolume workflow and prioritisingaccordingly
* Strong understanding of TreatingCustomers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk and ensuring bothprinciples are key cultural aspects of how the job holderworks
* CeMap qualified (Beneficial but notessential)
* Knowledge of regulated lending(MCOB) is an advantage
* Previous mandate min250000 (nonscoringcentric)
