Purpose of Role
We are one of the UK’s leading compliance and electrical testing specialists and are seeking a Mobile Electrician – Testing & Remedial based in the Slough area. This role provides the opportunity to work across a wide range of clients, both public and private, with a particular focus on commercial projects.
Job Description
You will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and carrying out remedial electrical works in commercial spaces. This includes performing routine testing, diagnosing faults, and completing small installations as needed, all with a strong customer‑focused approach. You will ensure full compliance with safety regulations by preparing method statements, risk assessments, and point‑of‑work assessments. The successful candidate will have proven experience in electrical testing and remedial work and be willing to work unsociable hours, including weekends and overnight, compensated at enhanced overtime rates.
Responsibilities
* Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across commercial sites.
* Diagnose electrical faults and carry out remedial works efficiently and safely.
* Complete small‑scale installations and minor upgrades as required.
* Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and point‑of‑work assessments.
* Maintain accurate records and reports using mobile devices.
* Liaise with clients to minimise disruption during works.
* Work flexibly across shifts, including weekends, nights, and regional travel.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing Certification
* Proven experience in electrical testing (EICRs) and remedial works in commercial environments.
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, ECS Gold Card).
* Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with a customer‑focused approach.
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours and travel regionally as required.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to use a company vehicle.
