Job Description
* Liaison with management / Project Office/ ISPL offshore team to obtain and validate all monthly information for the production of monthly expenses (principally expense accruals and prepayments)
* Play an integral role in the annual budgeting/forecasting process, including validation of PO templates, justification of the figures, any additional information to ensure managers have all the information
* Ensure correct input of Budget information into bank financial systems of the budget and forecast information and validation of the result with the manager and make or arrange corrections as agreed
* Run monthly process to prepare the global reports for meeting and add commentary to regions
* Attend monthly meeting with COO/N-1s/SPOCs to brief them on the overall financial performance
* Liaise with the project office, HR and with the Central Finance Paris Reporting team to ensure consistency of all reported costs, headcount analysis and commentaries
* Reconcile and control check Global PM figures with Local reporting P&L
* Review Balance Sheet Recs for areas (LAP Control)
* Review Aged accruals to ensure timely receipt of invoices
* Review Trade Debtor for services sold/recharges instructed and chase old debt as necessary
* Prepare forms and follow through Budget Transfer/changes in scope
* Assist offshore (ISPL) team in Mumbai with coding issues on the monthly billing file
* Provide the Global PM team with actual, budget and forecast commentaries for the departments under direct responsibility via monthly High Level Commentary Report
* Perform SAP cost reviews for monthly closing
* Assist SPOCs and related internal clients with their queries in a timely fashion
* Ad hoc assistance cross remit as required with the annual budget/forecast process
* Maintain contact with SSC/APS/Prod Business Relationship teams to ensure correct recharging
* Review WIP asset creation file, create schedules for COO sign off and instruct final asset creation
The Successful Applicant
A successful IT Management Accountant should have:
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
* Strong ability to interrogate, analyse and interpret data and produce variance analysis
* Committed confident individual able to deliver within tight deadlines and present to senior mgmt
* Good communication skills essential (written and verbal)
* Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel and Powerpoint is essential, macro level advantageous
* Strong ability to question and challenge the validity and accuracy of data or information received
* Prior experience of cost accounting and preparation of management commentaries
* Knowledge of General Ledger systems essential (SAP), data management systems like Hyperion Essbase/ Oracle Smartview experience desirable. Tagetik experience a plus.
