The Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Projects Manager, you will be responsible for scoping and delivering projects from the Capital Programme. This is a critical role, supporting business growth and continuous improvement by ensuring robust engineering ways of working are embedded across the site. From new equipment installation through to site expansion projects, you’ll provide leadership to cross-functional project teams, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, to budget, and in full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support multidisciplinary project teams to deliver capital projects safely, efficiently, and within budget.
* Develop technical scopes, layouts, and specifications for new equipment and modifications.
* Coordinate installation, commissioning, and handover to operational teams.
* Manage contractor activity on site, ensuring compliance with site standards and protocols.
* Track project progress, budgets, and documentation, escalating issues where needed.
* Support procurement activities, including supplier evaluation and cost control.
* Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and developing better ways of working.
The Ideal Candidate

* HND, HNC, Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (essential).
* Proven experience delivering engineering projects in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams and managing contractors.
* Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, risk management, and engineering best practice. Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* (Desirable) Food manufacturing experience, project management qualifications, AutoCAD/MS Project skills, or IOSH Managing Safely.
