JOB SUMMARY Are you practical, hands-on, and eager to learn a trade in the IT industry? Argon, one of the Islands leading IT Solutions Providers, is looking for a Trainee Cabling Engineer to join our expanding team. You will be trained in the installation and testing of structured cabling systems, including copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and fibre optic (singlemode and multimode). Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain valuable skills on live customer projects across offices, schools, and commercial sites. What you will be doing Installing and terminating copper and fibre optic cabling Testing and troubleshooting network infrastructure Working safely on customer sites with guidance from senior engineers Developing your technical skills through structured training and mentoring What we are looking for Practical, hands-on aptitude with good attention to detail Enthusiasm to learn and build a long-term career in cabling and IT infrastructure Team player with good communication skills Full, clean driving licence (essential) Desirable experience: Previous work in a trade, engineering, or IT-related environment Use of hand tools or power tools in a safe and competent way Awareness of health and safety in the workplace Basic knowledge of computer networks or cabling Typical working hours are a 37.5-hour week Monday to Friday.However, we are committed to supporting a work-life balance and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements, including part-time hours or alternative schedules, during the interview process.
