As an Accounts Assistant you will be:
Applicants for the job should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly organized. Good interpersonal skills are very important as they often have to deal with customers and external agencies.
A basic understanding of accountancy and book-keeping skills are essential for this position as well as demonstrating competence in the use of office software.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist finance department in financial operations of the company including reporting, forecasting, invoicing and cash management, accounts payable/receivable.
Cash Banking and reconciliations
Processing Petty Cash Claims and Posting Journal entries
Bank reconciliations
Checking Night Audit Bundle and Income Audit
Lead and participate in the monthly accounting close ensuring timeliness, accuracy, completeness and compliance with corporate policy.
Assist finance department with external auditor and provide all required information.
Assist finance department with ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that group policies are followed.
Assist finance department with Provision of direct and indirect reports; Management Accounts, etc.
Preparing VAT Return.
Communicate in a timely, efficient and professional manner both externally and internally.
Key Requirements:
Degree in a related subject Maths, Economics and/or Business or a related discipline or 2 to 3 years equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years work experience, of which at least 2 years within a management environment with experience of providing Financial Control.
Proficiency of Microsoft Office with good knowledge of Excel.
Knowledge of Software like Opera, Micros, Prologic First, etc. is essential.
Proven ability to multi task as necessary to meet deadlines and ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to work independently.
Lots of positive energy and self-motivation.
