About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We're looking to recruit a Site Engineer with experience in Highways to join our team based at Greatworth.
The Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations in the Southam area.
You will be required to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
You will be responsible for working with the other team members of the setting‑out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the junior engineers and also for identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub‑Agent. Monitoring and coordinating subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements.
Ensuring that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will be required to assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.
About You
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE).
* You must hold a CSCS - White, White‑Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor.
* Previous highways experience is preferred.
* Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
* Experience in large scale highways is essential for this role.
* You must hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle.
Pre‑employment Requirements
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance will be required as part of the onboarding process.
Pre‑employment checks such as references, ID, driving licence (if applicable), and right to work in the UK will be conducted. Some roles may require additional pre‑employment checks.
